Timely Care

Our goal
To improve efficiencies in wards that result in the timely discharge of patients
Failing to achieve optimal patient flow across a hospital puts patients at risk for suboptimal care and potential harm. It also increases the burden on clinicians and hospital staff, possibly accelerating burnout.
This project focused on improving efficiencies, reducing delays and improving the experience of care in medical surgical units. We partnered with six health services and the Institute for Healthcare Improvement to help address these complex issues.
