As part of patient experience week, our workshop will explore how compassion in healthcare can improve the patient experience.
The event features a compassion lab delivered by Mary Freer, Social Change Maker of Freer Thinking.
The workshop will explore:
- what neuroscience teaches us about compassion
- what happens in healthcare when compassion is thin
- practical tools for improving your resilience and self-compassion.

About Mary Freer
Mary Freer is a social innovator and social change maker. She has held senior leadership positions with the federal government and within not-for-profit healthcare and social welfare services. Mary was the Founder and CEO of Change Day Australia. Mary is a TEDx speaker and a member of the Council of the Australian Charter for Compassion.
