Safer Care Victoria has partnered with the Centre for Organisational Change in Person-Centred Healthcare (Deakin University) to run a series of workshops on effective communication.

This workshop will help staff in teaching or supervision roles develop their skills and confidence in teaching communication in the clinical workplace.

We've subsidised the cost of the workshop to support participants to attend.

Workshop learning objectives

  • Understand the evidence-based frameworks and models for teaching effective and efficient communication in health care, and how to personalise this for your own clinical area
  • Develop and use ‘communication language’ to identify the skills and cues of learners and maximise experiential learning in the workplace
  • Understand how providing meaningful feedback is essential for reflective practice and learner-led opportunities for developing their skills in communication in healthcare.
