Join us: Early recognition of clinical deterioration in aged care

We are looking for consumers, residential aged care staff and clinicians with experience in residential aged care to help us improve the way clinical deterioration is recognised in people living in aged care.

It can be hard to know when an older person is becoming really unwell, as their symptoms can be different to what is expected. All we may have to go on is a family member or staff member who notice that a resident is ‘just not themselves’.

So we have started a new project to help staff recognise clinical deterioration early and improve outcomes for aged care residents. Read more about this project.

As part of our expert working group, you will get to:

•    review best practice processes for screening and identifying clinical deterioration in aged care residents
•    help us develop a screening tool and design a pilot program to test it

Members will be representative of not-for-profit, private and public sector aged care providers and hospitals, both metropolitan and regional/rural.

How to apply

1.    Read our information pack to understand if this opportunity is right for you, and that you can meet the requirements of the role.
2.    Fill in the expression of interest form.

Applications close COB Friday 23 April 2021.
