We are seeking clinicians, consumer representatives and human factors professionals to join our 12-month Safety Fellows program.

Safety Fellows will join us on a full-time basis and will build on their skills in adverse event and systems safety reviews, human factors and systems thinking.

The Safety Fellows program aims to increase health sector capability by developing and embedding professionals with patient safety review expertise in Victorian health services, and to increase the availability of suitably experienced review members.

Who should apply?

We are looking for six mid-career clinicians from all fields and specialities, healthcare consumer representatives and human factors professionals who are passionate and driven to change the health system for better outcomes.

Why you should apply

  • Gain exposure and experience in statewide quality and safety programs such as the sentinel events program and Ministerial healthcare complaints.

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend a panel interview. Applicants who are shortlisted for an interview will, at the time of interview, be required to complete a National Police Check, a Declaration and Management of Private Interests and a conflict of interest declaration form.
