Updated guidelines are now available to support Victorian health services in submitting their annual quality account.

The 2018-19 quality account guidelines cover mandatory reporting requirements, what to include, plus tips and trick to make the content engaging and accessible to the community.

What's new?

You may notice a different look and feel to the guidelines this year. We’ve published two separate versions – one for public health services and one for registered community health services – to make it easier than ever to submit your quality account.

In Victoria all public health services and registered community health services must submit an annual quality account.

Quality accounts are due on Thursday 31 October 2019.

The quality account is an opportunity to help the community understand the quality and safety of healthcare that a service provides.

It also provides the community with an open and transparent account of each service’s performance, outcomes, actions and improvement.
