We are seeking input from Victorian public health service stakeholders to support the development of the Victorian Medicines Formulary (the Formulary).
The Formulary will establish a single, statewide list of medicines approved for use in Victorian public health services along with a statewide medicines governance structure. The aim is to support more consistent access to medicines, so people can receive care closer to home where possible, regardless of which public health service they attend.
Consultation workshops in July 2026 will give health service representatives an opportunity to directly shape the design of the policy and governance arrangements for the Formulary and inform implementation planning of this statewide reform.
Who the workshops are for
The workshops are targeted at multi-disciplinary clinicians, executives, and health administrators from Victorian public health services who are involved in, or impacted by, medicines governance, formulary management, or prescribing medicines.
