Safer Care Victoria oversees independent bodies that review patient death and harm. These councils are:

  • Consultative Council on Obstetric and Paediatric Mortality and Morbidity 
  • Victorian Perioperative Consultative Council

Safer Care Victoria also runs the Quality and Safety Executive Council (QSEC), which was formed in February 2022 to provide expert advice to Safer Care Victoria’s Chief Executive Officer.

CCOPMM identifies and reports on issues relating to perinatal, maternal and paediatric mortality and morbidity
The VPCC oversees, reviews and monitors perioperative care in Victoria to improve outcomes for patients before, during and after surgery.
