Safer Together Program

September marks Sepsis Awareness Month, with World Sepsis Day on 13 September. Many health services participating in our Victorian Sepsis Program launched local campaigns to raise awareness and improve outcomes for patients with sepsis.

On 11 September, we were also proud to partner with Sepsis Australia and Alfred Health for the Australian Sepsis Grand Round, where Louise McKinlay, CEO of Safer Care Victoria joined national leaders to discuss progress with the state improvement program.

To coincide with World Sepsis Day, the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care has also released the Sepsis Epidemiology Report, highlighting the value of the work being done to improve outcomes for patient experiencing sepsis.
