Our new Strategic plan 2026–29 sets our direction from 2026 to 2029 and outlines how we will continue to improve the quality and safety of healthcare for Victorians.
The plan builds on our strong foundation and focuses on working with patients, families, health services and system partners to deliver safer, more equitable and more connected care. Through collaboration, innovation and the use of data and evidence, we will support lasting improvements in health outcomes across Victoria.
Over the next 3 years, we will strengthen clinical governance, support Local Health Service Networks, grow quality and safety capability across the workforce and use data and insights to drive improvement. We will continue to partner with consumers and carers, expand our focus on equity and help health services learn from both success and harm.
The Strategic plan 2026–29 reflects our commitment to creating a safer healthcare system where every Victorian can expect high-quality care, every time. We look forward to working with our partners to deliver this vision and improve outcomes for patients, families and communities across Victoria.
