Victorian Cardiovascular Dashboard

We are almost ready to launch

The long awaited Victorian Cardiovascular Dashboard (VCD) will provide a sector wide view of important safety and quality metrics for cardiac and stroke care provided across Victoria. It will draw on multiple data sources to provide regular risk adjusted data, where applicable, to allow for monitoring, tracking improvements and benchmarking health system performance across the state.

Albury Wodonga region colonoscopy recall now complete

The Albury Wodonga region colonoscopy recall is now complete, with our organisation identifying, contacting, reviewing and supporting close to 2,000 patients during the process.  

In January, our investigation found that some colonoscopies performed or supervised by a surgeon in the Albury Wodonga region between 2018 and 2022 were incomplete, potentially compromising the accuracy of the resulting diagnoses. This prompted a recall process.

Recommended threshold and treatment target for blood pressure in pregnancy

Recently published evidence has demonstrated that tight blood pressure targets in pregnancy are associated with improved maternal outcomes and are not associated with increased risk for the unborn baby. CCOPMM have observed an increase in maternal and fetal morbidity associated with delayed treatment of elevated blood pressure.
