Hosted as part of the Safer Together Clinical Conversations series, this session will showcase how clinicians at Barwon Health partnered with their Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) program to strengthen the implementation of evidence-based recovery practices following colorectal surgery.
The presentation will explore a quality improvement initiative focused on increasing Day 0 mobilisation and capturing patient experiences using Patient Reported Experience Measures (PREMs). Attendees will gain practical insight into the strategies, challenges and lessons involved in embedding early mobilisation into routine clinical practice, and the impact this can have on patient recovery, engagement and outcomes.
Presenters will also share reflections from the ERAS World Congress in Singapore, where Barwon Health showcased its work to an international audience.
