Safer Care Victoria, the Victorian Managed Insurance Authority, and WorkSafe Victoria invite you to an engaging session designed to move beyond awareness and into practical application of Human Factors (HF) in healthcare.

Join internationally renowned expert Professor Ken Catchpole for a dynamic afternoon that will explore how HF principles can be integrated into quality and safety practices. Through a 30-minute presentation followed by a Q&A, participants will gain insights into the challenges, solutions, and resources that support meaningful Human Factors implementation.

Professor Catchpole is a world leading human factors engineer dedicated to improving safety and performance in health care. With over 22 years of international research across surgical specialties and healthcare systems, his current work spans sterile processing, retained foreign objects, specimen handling, diagnosis, neonatal resuscitation, paediatric intubation and speech interference in surgery. Through 165+ publications and 150+ invited lectures, he has inspired thousands to advance human-centered design in healthcare.
