Description

Hosted by North Metro and Mitchell Local Health Service Network, this Clinical Conversation explores how translational simulation can be used as a practical, scalable tool to strengthen safety systems, even in settings without dedicated simulation teams.

The Translational Simulation team from Northern Health will step through their use of the input–process–output framework and share different types of simulation activities, from small‑scale to system‑wide, demonstrating how simulation can function as a system improvement strategy rather than a standalone education tool. The team will share how they embed their work across a multi‑site health service to identify latent safety risks, test real‑world clinical systems, and translate insights into measurable improvement.

This webinar is part of the Safer Together Program Clinical Conversations series, where we partner with Local Health Service Networks to showcase local improvement work and share practical learnings that others can adapt in their own settings. Together, these conversations help connect health services across Victoria through a continuously improving learning health system.
