Our Annual plan 2026–27 details what we will deliver in the next year to achieve our vision of a better, safer healthcare system for all Victorians.
As we look ahead to the first year of our Strategic plan 2026–29, our focus remains firmly on continuous improvement, collaboration and system-wide learning. This year, we are progressing key priorities that reflect the needs of our healthcare system. These include:
- Accelerating statewide adoption of evidence-based safety and quality improvements and reform through the Safer Together learning health system
- Advancing our Mental Health Improvement Program initiatives to improve safety, quality and experience of care in our mental health services
- Sharing lessons from patient harm through the Sentinel Events Annual Report 2025–26 and translating quality and safety insights into system-wide learning
- Establishing clinical governance and commencing implementation of the Victorian Statewide Medicines Formulary, which will support equitable access, improve safety, standardise and optimise medicine use across the system
