Our Acute Care Learning Health Network is seeking Victorian hospitals to participate in a pilot project to promote the involvement of families and carers in acute healthcare teams.
The long awaited Victorian Cardiovascular Dashboard (VCD) will provide a sector wide view of important safety and quality metrics for cardiac and stroke care provided across Victoria. It will draw on multiple data sources to provide regular risk adjusted data, where applicable, to allow for monitoring, tracking improvements and benchmarking health system performance across the state.
Safer Care Victoria is pleased to share a new Victorian guideline to address venous thromboembolism (VTE) in adult patients in hospital settings. VTE encompasses conditions like deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE). It's a leading cause of preventable mortality and morbidity among hospitalised patients, highlighting the critical need for preventive measures.
