- launch a refreshed Partnering in healthcare framework to help services improve healthcare and outcomes for Victorians by better involving consumers and their families
- lead the design and implementation of the Victorian Statewide Medicines Formulary to standardise and optimise medicine use across the public health system.
- implement assigned recommendations as applicable from the Maternity Taskforce to ensure maternity services are safer, more responsive and more inclusive
- continue with our Mental Health Improvement Program initiatives, including work to eliminate restrictive practices, increase sexual safety and reduce compulsory treatment in our mental health services.

- launch Victoria’s first Quality and safety capability framework, to provide a clear and structured approach to building quality and safety capabilities across the Victorian healthcare workforce.
- strengthen clinical governance across the system by providing resources including an online Clinical governance toolkit and the Clinical governance maturity matrix.
- address systemic challenges in credentialing through the Credentialing and scope of clinical practice for senior medical practitioners policy.

- enhance the centralised perinatal and maternal data system to ensure high-quality, compliant and reliable data
- evaluate and refine current processes to support the Victorian Perioperative Consultative Council and the Consultative Council on Obstetric and Paediatric Mortality and Morbidity to review cases and identify preventable patient harm.
- enhance communication between the Victorian Perioperative Consultative Council and the Victorian health sector, to ensure recommendations are readily shared.

- continue to implement Safer Care for Kids, evaluating the Victorian Children’s Tool for Observation and Response (ViCTOR) Chart pilot and supporting the statewide rollout of this tool
- continue embedding system-wide quality and sustainability in Victoria’s healthcare system through the Safer Together Program.
