Improving employee experience is a key focus area of the 10-year Victorian Health Workforce Strategy. The Department of Health has created a suite of tools to help health services assess their maturity across the Employee Value Proposition domains of leadership, safety and wellbeing, career development and agility, flexibility, and identify targeted actions for improvement.
Supporting staff after an incident of occupational violence and aggression (OVA)
The Department of Health has published guides for leaders, managers and staff about how people may react to OVA in the workplace, strategies and services to promote recovery following an incident, providing support to others, and helpful ways to take care of yourself.
StandBy – Support After Suicide
StandBy – Support After Suicide offers sources of support for those impacted by suicide. They offer postvention support after suicide for family, friends, colleagues, witnesses, responders, etc. You can visit the website or call them on 1300 727 247.
StandBy provides support free of charge at a time and place that best suits those requesting the support, as well as workshops and other training opportunities.
