Safer Care for Kids is a project that will improve the safety and quality of care for children accessing emergency healthcare in Victoria.
Health services must report the most serious cases of patient harm and death caused by adverse patient safety events, and make sure they’re properly reviewed.
When patients are unexpectedly harmed or die, a review team comes together to find out what happened, why, and how to prevent it from happening again.

Our chief clinical officers
Victoria’s chief clinical officers provide expert leadership, advice and guidance on healthcare quality and safety to Safer Care Victoria and the Minister for Health.
We're helping to develop a National Nursing Workforce Strategy to address workforce challenges, and support the nursing profession.
Our Chief Mental Health Nurse is Anna Love, who is passionate about mental health nursing, clinical practice and leadership.
We support a number of consultative and executive councils to provide expert advice and improve outcomes for patients.
