Teletrials
Teletrials are a flexible way to deliver clinical trials. They bring trial activities closer to home for people living in regional, rural and remote locations.
In a teletrial:
- clinicians and researchers across multiple health services' sites work as one trial team known as a cluster
- digital technologies support local delivery of trial activities at local health services
- established trial centres partner with local sites to run clinical research.
Teletrials strengthen local health workforces and improve access to clinical trials and care. Our model is based on the COSA Australasian Teletrial Model.
Regional Clinical Trial Coordinating Centre
The Australian Teletrial Program-Victoria (ATP-Vic) is the Regional Clinical Trial Coordinating Centre (RCCC) for the national Australian Teletrial Program.
We support the implementation of the Australian Teletrial Program across the state.
The Australian Teletrial Program is a Medical Research Future Fund initiative. The funding supports six participating states and territories to expand access to clinical trials for regional, rural and remote communities.
