About the reforms
The Australian Government is working with state and territory governments on national reforms to improve the clinical research operating environment.
These reforms are being delivered through the Encouraging More Clinical Trials In Australia (EMCTIA) agreement between the Australian Government and state and territory governments.
The national reform agenda is coordinated through the Inter-Governmental Policy Reform Group (IGPRG), with jurisdictions working together to deliver nationally consistent approaches that support clinical research across Australia.
Victoria's role in national reform
We provide specialist advice on national communications and engagement under the EMCTIA reform program.
Working in partnership with the Australian Government and jurisdictions across Australia, we support awareness and implementation of national reforms across the state.
