About Safewards Victoria
About the model
Safewards is a model of care that encourages nurses and clinical staff to:
- reduce conflict and containment within mental health services
- identify and address the causes of behaviours in staff and patients that may result in harm
- support a culture of safety, respect and inclusion.
We are supporting Victorian mental health services to implement the Safewards Model.
